Abstract

Blended learning education, which from the very first begining was part of UNED´s offer, seeks to fulfill the right to Higher Education throughout Spain. The effective achievement of this right depends on the better or worse regulation of this way of transmission of knowledge. Therefore, it is studied the way in which this University is organized, particularly the regulation of the figure of the Teacher-Tutor, a specific teacher of this University, key to ensure this teaching model. Historical problems derived from the regulation of this figure increases after Spain entrance to the European Space for Higher Education, as this process revalues the tutorial function even more. Certain conclusions can be drawn from the possible partial and general solutions to the problem.
