Abstract
Uno de los desafíos más recurrentes que hoy enfrenta la academia es la obsolescencia de las categorías dogmáticas clásicas para explicar la realidad política y jurídica del siglo XXI. El Estado-nación, concebido bajo el paradigma westfaliano como un ente estanco, soberano y monopolizador del poder público, se encuentra hoy atravesado por dinámicas transnacionales que erosionan sus fronteras normativas. En este contexto de globalización ineludible, la obra Las integraciones económicas: Concepto, taxonomía y efectos, elaborada por el doctor Miguel Ángel Sevilla Duro y que constituye una depurada reelaboración de la primera parte de su tesis doctoral, asume una tarea largamente postergada por la doctrina iuspublicista: la construcción de una verdadera teoría general de las integraciones económicas.
