Abstract

Uno de los muchos méritos de Pablo Lucas Verdú es el haber abanderado en el campo del derecho constitucional —incluso cuando fuera discutible la forma en que, en ocasiones, lo hiciera— un pensamiento jurídico no formalista y ello es especialmente meritorio en quien se educó en la tradición de la mejor iuspublicistica italiana, depuradora, a su vez, de la germánica. Pablo Lucas conoció a fondo sus categorías, pero el magisterio personal de Mortati y el libresco de Smend le llevaron pronto a profundizar en una concepción substancial de la Constitución.
