Reflections on the legal framework on invasive procedures research involving human beings in Spain

Abstract

The entry into force of the Spanish Law 14/2007 of 3rd July, on Biomedical Research implied the establishment for the first time of a complete legal framework in this field. This paper analyzes the legislation applicable to the experimentation with human beings regulated in Title II of the mentioned law, excepting clinical essays in the field of medicaments, regulated by Law 29/2006 of 26th July, on surety and rational use of medicaments and sanitary products.
