Abstract

La obra colectiva que es objeto de recensión, coordinada por el Profesor Fernández de Casadevante Romaní (Catedrático de Derecho Internacional Público y Relaciones internacionales de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos), tiene el gran acierto de abordar dos de los desafíos más acuciantes para nuestro ordenamiento jurídico: por un lado, acomete la crucial cuestión de la inserción y consecuente despliegue de efectos de la norma internacional en el sistema de fuentes doméstico y, por extensión, las sinergias entre los órganos internacionales y nacionales en sus responsabilidades compartidas en la defensa de los derechos humanos; y, por otro lado y sobre todo, pone el punto de mira en el elemento esencial del sistema jurídico, que no es otro que la persona y el respeto de su dignidad como vector axiológico sobre el que pivota el conjunto del sistema.
